December is here, and even though Sicily is still glowing with sunlight, the days have turned cooler in that cosy, comforting way. Lately I have been spending my afternoons on the sofa with my iPad, the sun filling the living room, my favourite playlist humming in the background. It has become a little ritual that helps me slow down and really enjoy the creative process.

Over the past few weeks I have been working on a new series of festive illustrations. They started as small ideas for greeting card covers, nothing overly planned, just playful concepts that grew into something brighter and more cheerful than I first imagined. I mixed in bits of childhood memories, a touch of retro energy, and my usual bold colours. Traditional Christmas palettes never quite felt like me, so I leaned into something fresher and more vibrant this time.

Sharing these pieces feels a bit like giving a small gift to anyone who follows my work. This year has been an important one for my little creative studio, and I am genuinely grateful for everyone who supported what I do. Creating art is such a personal thing, and knowing that people enjoy it makes the long hours feel meaningful.

I hope these illustrations bring you a spark of joy, or maybe even inspire you to create something of your own during this season. And if you are someone looking for a freelance creative with a colourful, playful approach, I hope this gives you a clear sense of my style and the world I love to build.
I will be adding more designs throughout December, so feel free to check in again as we get closer to Christmas.
Wishing you a bright, joyful holiday season and a very Merry Christmas filled with warmth, love, and creativity.
