Hey there, dear friends,
First and foremost, I want to extend a heartfelt wish for a Happy Easter to each and every one of you and your families. May this day be filled with love, laughter, and an abundance of blessings.
Now, let’s talk about March – a month that was equal parts challenging and transformative. This past month, I embarked on what I like to call an Easter illustration marathon, immersing myself in a flurry of colours, shapes, and creative ideas. It was an exhilarating experience, pushing the boundaries of my creativity and reminding me of the joy that comes from embracing new challenges head-on.
But beyond the realm of art and creativity, March held another significant milestone for me – my upcoming birthday on April 1st. As I inch closer to the big 4-0, I can’t help but marvel at the journey that has led me to this moment. You see, my story is one marked by growth, resilience, and a fair share of bumps along the road.
In my younger years, I was the quintessential shy guy – lacking in confidence, afraid to speak up, and constantly seeking validation from others. I spent much of my life living in the shadows, my dreams and passions buried beneath layers of self-doubt and insecurity. All these led me to stop creating art because I feared it wasn’t ‘cool’ and that I would be perceived as weak. It took years of soul-searching and self-discovery to overcome these limiting beliefs and embrace my true passion for creativity.
Life has a funny way of throwing us curveballs when we least expect it, and for me, that curveball came in the form of a move to London at the age of 27. It was a bold, audacious leap into the unknown, and while the city dazzled me with its energy and vibrancy, it also tested me in ways I never thought possible.
By the time I reached my 30th birthday, I found myself grappling with a full-blown midlife crisis – questioning my identity, my purpose, and my place in the world. It was a dark, tumultuous period in my life, marked by moments of self-doubt and despair. But amidst the chaos, a glimmer of hope emerged – a flicker of light that illuminated the path towards self-discovery and personal growth.
Through years of self-exploration and personal development, I have blossomed into a confident, self-assured individual, unafraid to pursue my passions and embrace life’s myriad possibilities. Moving to Sicily, South Italy, was yet another bold step in my journey, presenting new challenges and opportunities for growth. And though the road ahead may still be uncertain, I am less afraid to make mistakes, knowing that each stumble brings me one step closer to realising my dreams.
As I look to the future with excitement and anticipation, I am eager to continue my creative journey, taking stunning photos that bring joy to others, and creating funky illustrations and designs that help small businesses to grow. Whether it’s capturing the beauty of the world through my lens or bringing vibrant designs to life, I am committed to making a positive impact and spreading joy wherever I go.
So here’s to new beginnings, fresh starts, and the endless possibilities that lie ahead. Happy Easter, happy April, and cheers to all the adventures that await!
